Researchers and science organizations are becoming more aware of how important it is to clearly communicate what they do. I help them promote their work and discoveries to their stakeholders and the broader population.
My favourite part of this work is talking to people who are passionate about what they do, tapping into that passion, and sharing it with readers through the articles I write.
Introduction to Ag West Bio’s Annual reports. This is a service I’ve been providing for 10 years. I really enjoy connecting with C-level executives in the Saskatchewan agricultural development field (pun intended), and weaving their perspectives together for AWB’s annual report.
A semi-annual in-store glossy print magazine. Since 2020 I have been the Managing Editor for the magazine, coordinating assignments, providing writing where needed, editing chefs’ recipes and contributing content ideas whenever required.
Tall Order wrote a series of articles to fulfill a communications plan between October 2022 and June 2023. Articles included contacting experts and conducting interviews, and writing 500-1000 word articles for monthly news updates.
Part of a team that created the slogan, logo and themes for the Meewasin’s More Than a Trail capital fundraising campaign. Provided slogan and content development for a printed pamphlet.
I was hired by Cereals Canada to interview participants in the Habitat-Friendly Winter Wheat project. Three stories involving a farmer, a bakery and a cereals distributor are featured on their website.
